Great news .Fred,

Been down to the last 1-2MB and still the Proc was responding (freshly loaded each time and hit Proc) so it looks like what you did did the trick.

tres bien, mon brav!

Mallow1

PS Get some zzzs and I'll catch up, with you on the flipside...a demain

Ok, since this seems to solve your problem, I modified the Task Manager and here is the update.

I hope that the same behaviour will appear here as well.

Cheers,

.Fred

Thanks too Mallow1 & TomasNM for sticking out with .Fred during the tests. You guys are great.

Cheers & toasts to you guys specially you man ..........Fred! B)

You just need to install a service. Either you have an installation cab file or you do it manually.

All you need to do is copying the service dll in the /Windows directory. Then you have to enter the service registry keys under HKLM/Services/ServiceName. Check under other services what you have to put as subkeys.

Then if the task manager is running just do a refresh and start the service, you've just installed.

Cheers,

.Fred

Why not, like the task manager under XP.
Ok, I will add that in the next release. This will be done by adding a parameter in the command line when you'll start the program.

So something like TaskMgr.exe /tray

.Fred

Hi .Fred,

Yep get some sleep! In an earlier post I noted that it wasn't just your app that wasn't showing the processes but also my Memmaid program (which has a tab for the same thing). It had been working but had stopped doing it too (prob as my memory usage/ config meant I doidn't have 60MB free!!!). Then I think rhmartin mentioned that it was the same for him with Memmaid and anox said that it was the same for all task managers he'd tried except SKTools.

Anyway, I owe you a cyber beer (ou vin),

Hmmm. Can you enable in next version the "Activate","Terminate" and maybe "Refresh" buttons in CPU view also? Think, that can be useful. ;)

On Proc window the buttons are disabled
Also if i close an app in apps window it says sometimes "Closed succesfull" and sometimes not, but no matter the message is, usualy it closes the app.
