Postby Aek99 » Wed Nov 02, 2005 7:32 pm

Hi' this's my first post and sorry for my bad engligh. I've tried to install all patchs to fix the BT, GPRS problem for WM5
but my BT still turns itself off after suspend.

following this aticle
http://www.buzzdev.net/index.php?option ... 5&catid=34
it does't work on my device. then i started to try myself then i found that if i change some of dword value registry my BT and GPRS still working after a device is suspend. Here is my change

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power\State\Suspend\Flags]

i've changed dword value (in hex) from (200000 to 100000)
then save. and my BT is WORK! after suspend and can take a long phone call (i tested for 10 mins)

but i'm not sure myself, what i've done with my device. i don't know what is the meaning of the value that i changed.
i just try myself. (waitting for experts explain me)

i'm looking for responses with this method. if it cause other
BA can working fine with BT, GPRS that's a good news for us.

Sorry, i don't have WiFi right now, So i can't test it.

 Thanks very much. I now love my Blue Angel. I entered the registry corrections just as you stated. I now can put my device in suspend and still have my bluetooth headset work. I haven't tested the WiFi but i'm sure happy my headset works.

U've just managed to enter the user idle mode with that particular flag settings. The only thing that does is it turns of the screen.

Conclusion: Buttons are not locked, nothing suspends. Battery hog. Still not a fix, but a work around at the expense of battery.

I have to disagree. My Blue angle does go into the suspend mode with the fix listed above. If you lock the buttons you won't have the problem with the device coming back on. I know it is in the suspend mode because My battery is once again lasting all day, just as it did with 2003se. Prior to the fix I used a program called delta lock with did turn off the screen. Like I mentioned above my battery would not last the whole day. My device is acting just as it did with 2003se. (battery all day):)

bennyhill5, I tested this as well and can confirm all it does is turn off the screen when you push the power button; buttons are still active even though button lock is enabled. Changed registry back and buttons dont respond when power is off.

I have my button lock engaged and the only button which turns the device back on is the top power button. I also reactivated my advanced power setting to turn the device off after 3 minutes and that to indeed works. Prior to the fix, I had to deactivate the turn device off after so many minutes because when the device went off, so did my bluetooth. I'm not sure what's the difference between our devices but mines is acting the exact same as it did with 2003se. which button lock program are you using. I'm using the program which was extracted from 2003SE. My device has been in standby all day exept when I was on the telephone and I still have 40 percent battery left. (7:30am-now 9:06pm)whe you fixed the registry, how did you save it? you didn't use the stylus to soft reset did you? when I first attempted the correction that is what I did and the registry kept reverting back. I ended up having to use a software reset to get it to take effect. Good luck I'm truly happy once again with mines and will never convert to 2003Se

So you're saying that if you press the IE button a button while the screen is off, then turn the screen on you don't see IE open?

Lucky enough I can press any of the buttons and when I hit the power button it comes back to the today screen. Not sure why mines is working. I have installed every patch I can find maybe it's a combination of things

It did nothing for mine....all it did was inactivate the hardware keyboard. Switched back and all is well again....except for the b/t......
